Tracey Ayers, LPC
NOTE FROM TRACEY:
"I work with individuals who are in the thick of life — balancing careers, relationships, parenting, and personal expectations — and recognizing that something needs to shift.
Many of the people I see are thoughtful, capable, and highly responsible. They aren’t looking for endless analysis. They’re looking for clarity, direction, and practical tools that create meaningful forward movement.
With over 30 years of experience, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused principles in a collaborative, goal-oriented process designed to build skills and support measurable progress."
About Tracey Ayers
I have spent more than three decades helping clients navigate the complexity of careers, relationships, and parenting.
Much of the work I do centers around forward movement — helping clients clarify what matters most, identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and develop practical tools that create measurable progress.
My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused principles in a collaborative, goal-oriented process. Therapy is active and intentional. We define clear goals, address barriers, and build skills that support lasting change.
I believe people are often not broken — just stuck. And with clarity, structure, and the right tools, meaningful progress becomes possible.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado and the owner of the Brief Therapy Institute of Denver, serving the community since 1993.

As Duhigg shows, by harnessing this new science, we can transform our businesses, our communities, and our lives." What Tracey's Clients are Reading:
From Amazon: "The Slight Edge" is a way of thinking, a way of processing information that enables you to make the daily choices that will lead you to the success and happiness you desire. It shows you how to create powerful results using the tools that are already within you."
From Amazon: "Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy--co-authored with psychologist and friend Adam Grant--shows you how Sandberg, and many others who have overcome a wide range of profound hardships, triumphed over tragedy. The book posits that it’s helpful to think of resilience like a muscle, one that atrophies in the calm between the storms of our lives. But there are things we can do to develop it, so we’re better prepared when adversity strikes."
From Amazon: "The good news is that anxiety, guilt, pessimism, procrastination, low self-esteem, and other "black holes" of depression can be cured without drugs. In "Feeling Good", eminent psychiatrist, David D. Burns, M.D., outlines the remarkable, scientifically proven techniques that will immediately lift your spirits and help you develop a positive outlook on life. Now, in this updated edition, Dr. Burns adds an All-New Consumer′s Guide To Anti-depressant Drugs as well as a new introduction to help answer your questions about the many options available for treating depression."
