Charles "Chuck" Pitte, LCSW
Now Providing Tele-Health Therapy
About Chuck Pitte:
Chuck brings more than 40 years of experience in direct mental health care, working with individuals facing complex and chronic mental health challenges. He has extensive experience supporting clients living with severe and persistent conditions, as well as those navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, physical illness, grief, and significant life stressors.
His approach integrates solution-focused principles with deep clinical experience in community, hospital, and emergency settings. Chuck works collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, stabilize symptoms, and create practical steps toward improved daily functioning and quality of life.
Chuck has a particular interest in working with older adults. He understands the unique emotional and practical challenges that can arise in later life — including health changes, loss, shifting roles, and increased isolation — and provides steady, respectful support grounded in dignity and resilience.
Chuck earned his Master of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work and completed graduate studies in Clinical Psychology at The New School for Social Research. He has been an associate of the Brief Therapy Institute of Denver since 2001 and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Colorado.
Chuck's Approach to Therapy
Chuck’s approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in experience. He integrates solution-focused strategies with Cognitive Behavioral and psychodynamic perspectives, tailoring his work to the unique needs of each client.
Given his extensive background in working with chronic and complex mental health conditions, he is comfortable providing diagnostic clarification, treatment planning guidance, and education for both clients and family members when helpful. His work emphasizes stability, strengths, and meaningful daily improvement — even in the context of long-standing challenges.
